Finding popular kids books has gotten easier with the advent of kids only bookstores that only sell books for kids under 12 years of age. Parents will be happy that they can find appropriate child books in one place as well as find suggestions for new favorites.
Having a store that categorizes books by age helps parents find the right book that is appropriate to the childs age. If the book is too advanced for a child, the child will not understand it and lose interest. If the book is deemed to babyish by a pre teen, he wont read it. Having just the right amount of elements appropriate for each age group is important.
Some classic kids books are popular for generations. Examples would be Little Women, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Peter Pan, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. These types of books have interesting characters that do things that young readers can envision themselves doing. These help children learn to use their imagination at the same time they learn about how people lived long ago.
